Return Policy

90 Day No-Questions-Asked Returns

We get it – sometimes it’s hard to order things online without having a chance to see it for yourself. Here at Salt we want you to feel comfortable with your purchases and confident that we can help you get what you want.

If your product doesn’t work out for whatever reason, send it back within 90 days for a refund. As long as we get everything back in good condition we won’t charge you a restocking fee, so you’ll only need to pay the shipping fees (but some orders will ship for free).

1 Year Limited Warranty

All products purchased from have a 1-Year Limited Warranty against all defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Products found to be defective are worthy of a return for refund or replacement within 1 year of purchase.

How to Initiate a Return

We understand that you always want to make sure you’re getting the right product. If you want a little help from our experts feel free to contact our support team through our parent company, Sewell Direct. But, if the product doesn’t work out, you can rest easy knowing that the refund process is fast and painless.

1. Request a Return

Contact our support team at Sewell Direct to get everything started with your return. You need to make sure and get in touch with us before you return anything.

2. Re-Package Items

If you are returning a product under our 90 Day Return Policy, and any part of the product or included accessories are lost or damaged, the cost to replace the lost or damaged item will be deducted from your refund. Also, a 15% repackaging fee will be charged for non-defective returns with missing or damaged packaging. 

Any packaging that cannot be opened without cutting or otherwise destroying the packaging will not be charged the 15% repackaging fee. Any products being returned under our 1 Year Limited Warranty or Spring Cable Lifetime Warranty do not need original packaging.

3. Ship It

We accept all shipping methods, but you are responsible for making sure the package gets to us. If we never get the item we cannot refund/replace it. We strongly recommend using a reliable carrier with tracking or delivery confirmation.

When eligible for a return shipping refund, we will refund shipping fees from FedEx Ground, UPS Ground, or USPS (first class or priority mail).

4. Processing

Most returns are processed within 3-5 business days of receiving the return, but please allow for up to 2 weeks during busy seasons

5. Replacement or Refund

If you choose to receive a replacement: you will receive both order and shipping confirmation emails when we process the return.

If you choose to receive a credit: You will receive an email detailing your credit information when we process the return.

We refund you the same way you paid. If you paid with a credit card, we will refund you to the same credit card with which you paid. You also have the option to save your credit for later.

Shipping Refunds

Once a product is picked up by a shipping carrier we are charged for the label and can’t get our money back, so we can’t offer shipping refunds for orders with address problems, if you ordered the wrong product, or if the product didn’t meet your needs. Of course, if the product is defective or if we made a mistake (like a shipping error) we will cover the costs.
